Moon is now AKC Championship Pointed!!
Moon's just chillin in the back yard ...above at 6 weeks and right at 7 weeks.

Moon was our pick puppy from this litter - he is everything I was hoping for - his parents gorgeous color and coat, tight feet , tail and thick perfectly set ears and of course his daddy's typey eyes and goober personality!  The first born I was so happy.

As with every parade there may be rain... Moon has been facing challenges that we are to this day trying to figure out.  He suffers with bouts of arthritis type symptoms that last 12-24 hours and have plaqued him since his last round of vaccines.  We have cateloged every spell every success and every day of his life since trying desparately to pin point the source of his discomfort.  He is such a trooper and fighter - he bounces back quickly and as though nothing were wrong which is in its self the most frustrating to his doctors and his friends and supporters in the fancy and canine community - he has many I have to say - he has won over many hearts.  Behind his brothers and sister in growth he is just now coming into his body better - gaining height and weight and at times we think there is a conclusion to his struggles as his periods of normal silly puppy behavior get longer between "spells".  Keep this sweet mahogany angel in your prayers and send him strength as he shows us each day we shouldn't give up on him.
Moon is pictured at the right  & below with his best friend and biggest supporter - his daddy Ch Bushido.  The two are most often inseparable. Right - a youngster of  7 weeks and below 9 months.  Moon was having a "down day" and on his pallet in the den and Daddy dog was never too far away from his side. Ch Bushido always likes to have his picture taken while Moon seems to be saying - go away - I have a really bad headache.
CThank you judge Mr. Vincent Grosso for this very special win!  Moon is pointed the first time he is able to show.  Sadly all the excitement brought on another spell of IMPA and he was out the following day unable to move freely.  Moon will continue to travel to shows and compete as his condition permits as he loves all the attention he gets and all the new friends he makes.

Sadly - Moon was helped over the Rainbow bridge on the 4th of November 2004.  His IMPA had progressed to a systemic stage (attacking his organs) and the amount of pain he was suffering was more than those that love him could stand to see him bare.  He was such a strong boy and so loving - he knew I had a really tough decision to make and that it would break my heart but he guided me through it and as he lay in my arms before his final rest he gave me a kiss and a sigh as only he and I understand and he crossed over easily and quickly.  Moon's DNA will be on record with our national breed club in the hopes that it will some day offer some answers or help with juvenille arthritis research - he rests permanently here at OshoZen Kennels.
